The range of dimmable luminaires and light sources using LED technology is becoming ever larger and more confusing. There are also more and more luminaires that can only be dimmed unsatisfactorily or, in the worst case, not at all with conventional dimmers. The new Omnio universal dimmerUPD230/10 from AWAG provides a remedy. The third generation of this tried-and-tested dimmer based on EnOcean wireless technology has been completely revised and specially designed for modern LED luminaires. When switched on for the first time, the dimmer automatically analyses the connected load and starts a calibration process. The resulting optimum dimming parameters are permanently stored on the device.
